Gyurcsak's own work has been extensively shown in galleries and juried
exhibitions throughout the United States.

marks to blocking in large masses to the final touches. Joseph Gyurcsak will
express the importance of preparation with regard to palette of color,
brushes, lighting, composition and plan of how to proceed. All this as
the artists conveys his thoughts and his actions in a clear verbal
discussion while painting.
Historical references will be made to painting concepts from artists
such as Inness, Metcalf, Zorn, Sargent, Sorolla, Garber, Whistler, Chase,
Henri, Hawthorne, etc. Joe has studied in great depth many of the
masters of 19th century and has a unique ability to relate those findings
to the current lesson at hand.
A 2 p.m. refreshment break will be followed by an opportunity for interactive discussion and questions/answers. The workshop is free and open to the public. Bring lots of questions!
Participants are also invited to visit the annual Best of America! 2010 Exhibit which will continue through October 30, in Sedalia's KATY Historic Depot.
