ENTRY REQUIREMENTS — Deadline June 15

Artists will submit their entries via www.juriedartservices.com This is new for NOAPS this year and we are very excited about utilizing this service. Images should be prepared at 300dpi and 1400 pixels on the longest side. This will be juried by a 'blind jury' and artist's signatures should be blurred in the images. Artists can create an account at www.juriedartservices.com for free and find specific details on how to prepare your images properly by clicking on their 'help' tab. In 2011, artists will be able to submit up to 5 entries (for additional fees—see below). However, a maximum of 2 paintings by one artist will be accepted into the show. All work submitted must be for sale. Mailed entries will not be accepted.

ENTRY FEES

Please read carefully, as this has changed from previous years. Entry fees are paid upon checkout at www.juriedartservices.com and are as follows: $50 for 1 or 2 entries, and an additional $10 per entry up to 5 entries. Example: Entries — $50 for 1 or 2, $60 for 3, $70 for 4, or $80 for 5 entries. However, a maximum of 2 paintings by one artist will be accepted into the show. The minimum $50 entry fee also pays your 2011 Membership dues. For those artists who have already paid their 2011 Membership dues, and wish to enter, please see Contact page for further instructions.

SALES AND LIABILITY

All entries must be for sale. Paintings of all price ranges are accepted. Entrants price their own work, and these prices must be representative of the established market value for that artist's work. The prices of accepted paintings will be the price set by the artist on the entry form, and may not be altered during the entire exhibition period. The NOAPSociety deducts, as a donation, twenty percent of the sale price for transactions attributed to the exhibition.

Upon acceptance images become the property of the NOAPSociety, which retains the right to reproduce images, regardless of copyright, for promotional or educational purposes. All reasonable care will be exercised with artwork. However, the NOAPSociety, hosting facilities and organizations or individuals assume no responsibility and shall not be held liable for damages of any kind which may occur while work is exhibited or in transit. Shipping companies and artists are responsible for the safety, payment and clarification of various methods of shipment. The NOAPSociety continues referrals for up to one year after the closing date of the exhibition.

SELECTION

Entries are reviewed anonymously by a qualified, independent panel of artists, art collectors, art educators and patrons. Works are chosen on the basis of quality and the individual artist's mastery of the medium and expression without preference toward any particular school, painting style or technique. Artists are notified of acceptance and, upon selection, are given shipping instructions. There will be a $25 handling fee per box, and a prepaid return shipping label will be required. Upon receipt of accepted paintings, NOAPSociety retains the right to refuse any painting for technical inaccuracy, misrepresentation, inadequate framing, or improper packaging. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs. Awards are selected by the Awards Judge, and his decision is final. Awards are announced at the Awards Reception, to which artists, members, and patrons are invited.
