MIGUEL MALAGON, NOAPS Signature Artist

Miguel Malagon is originally from Guanajuato, Mexico and grew up in East Chicago, Indiana. He received his formal training at the American Academy of Art in Chicago.
Continually working at his craft, he can often be seen painting on the streets of Chicago and its suburbs, and at the Palette and Chisel where he works from the live model. His genre work reflects on daily life with scenes of light filled with color.
Miguel exhibits at Paul Henry’s, Indiana, and Ann Nathan Gallery, Chicago. His work hangs in private and public collections including the Sand Ridge Bank, Highland, IN, Crown Point Civic Center. He was recently featured in Southwest Art Magazine’s Artist’s to Watch, November 2013 issue. Miguel is a NOAPS Signature Artist Member and he was the Best of Show recipient at the Best of America Exhibit 2013. He has also received several awards and recognitions in other NOAPS exhibits.
"I am drawn and attracted to scenes of everyday life and everyday people, they offer a glimpse into the lives of people and places that we might not other wise notice. I want the viewer to enter that world and see what I saw as I painted the scene, while trying to retain the fidelity and integrity of the scene and the people as best I can." - Miguel

SALES

Selected work will be posted on www.NOAPS.org to promote sales. Requests relating to artist information or sales will be forwarded to the artist.

The National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society was organized for the purpose of "governing, administering, and maintaining such activities as will provide a national forum and standard of excellence in which artists can fully express the media of oil and acrylic on canvas and panel." Focusing on the emerging artist, rather than the well known painters who have already gained acceptance in the Visual Fine Arts industry, the NOAPSociety has continued to encourage these extremely talented artists. This philosophy has served well during two plus decades of steady growth as evidenced by its tremendous appeal to not only the art connoisseur, but also to the general public which persists in its relentless quest of  "The BEST!"

Your participation and support of the NATIONAL OIL & ACRYLIC PAINTERS’ SOCIETY is greatly appreciated. We wish you success in this event and may all your art career goals be met !
